The Dog On My Feet Series is a series of illustrated children’s books written around the family dog Moka as she grows and discovers her world. It is illustrated by a talented young man named Nicholas Voshall of Lancaster, CA. This series was imagined by our oldest son, Lucas.
This children’s book is nicely illustrated with a great story. Complete with a variety of activities, it makes a great first reader for a child with a word find, maze and coloring pages for them to complete when they have finished reading the story.
This first book in the series entitled, Moka Becomes a Water Dog, will be available before Christmas 2012, through Amazon.com

Meet Joe Brown, Author of Oblivion
Joseph Brown has been writing since age twelve, having no other dream than becoming a published author. He was a practicing musician for many years and wrote several symphonies during his piano career. He lives in the Pacific Northwest. Oblivion is his first published novel.
A lone renegade prowling the streets, Dark Elf rogue Lazareth is arrested and thrown into the Imperial City prisons. With the empire ready to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march upon the land. Emperor Uriel Septim and his guardians, the Blades, venture into Lazareth’s prison cell, to make use of a secret escape tunnel. But dark on the Emperor’s trail lurks the Mythic Dawn, a cult of assassins who have already murdered the Emperor’s heirs. Only the Dragonborn, in whose veins flow the Septim blood, can relight the Dragonfires in the Temple of the One and reinforce the barriers that protect the Land of Cyrodiil. With his dying breath, the Emperor entreats Lazareth, the only one who mysteriously can walk into the demonic world of Oblivion, to destroy the Oblivion portals, find the lost heir to the Septim throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
Introducing Sabre-eBooks.com Publisher Series books
The Adventures of Jimmie Dale, by Frank L. Packard. Dale’s history is an interesting one. He was born in 1888, the son of a wealthy NYC family. After spending his teenage years working at a safe manufacturing factory he entered Harvard. While there he amused himself with a wide range of practical jokes, extensive reading in detective fiction, and with amateur theatrics. After graduation in 1911 he was elected to the extremely exclusive St. James Club. Then, while starting his life of leisure—the only appropriate life for a “gentleman” such as himself—he decided to carry out another prank, to tease the police and to amuse himself, for “the sheer deviltry of it.” He created the identity of the “Gray Seal” and began to enter homes, stores, and public buildings by night. The Gray Seal always opened safes, no matter where they were or how guarded they were, and left behind a gray diamond paper seal. The Gray Seal never took anything else; his goal was amusement, not larceny.

Here is the list of dates for So You Want To Start Running…Again!’s Virtual Tour
April 16th – My Reading Room
The Review: So You Want to Start Running…Again is a quick easy read that’s encouraging and basic to help anyone get started running or get started back running. I found it to be informative, but very superficial. But then again, this is just about getting started. I think this book is great for inspiring someone on the cusp on starting to run again. I read it in less than an hour and can see referring to it from time-to-time. Mr. Stevenson is well-researched and his topics are handled well.
I suggest this for someone who’s thinking about running or getting back into running that wants a quick read to get them out the door again. His title says it all and it delivers.
April 19th – Pages I Turn
The Review: I am not a runner, and never have been. However, my husband has been a runner off and on throughout our marriage. Reading this book Jeff Stevenson reminds me of my own husband.
Mr. Stevenson gives sound advice, to make sure you first see your doctor before starting any type of running. I liked how honest and frank Mr. Stevenson was in this book about the hard work, and how to log distance, eat healthy, set goals, warm ups and cool downs, and there was also a chapter on not becoming discourage.
I found this book (its really a pamphlet) to be extremely helpful, and shows that it is never too late to start a program. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to start running again. The book is motivational and has many resources for various helps throughout.
April 20th – Proud Book Nerd
April 20th – Year of Jubilee Reviews
The Review: Jeff takes us through some of his tried and true suggestions from personal experience. He went from being a non-runner to getting back into it with some hints and ideas he found online and from other people. He has taken his experience and the things he has learned and put them into a comprehensive booklet to encourage new runners.
At age 39 I am in the need of some exercise, and Jeff is showing in this booklet that it is possible to get back out there and run again. Firstly he mentions visiting your Doctor, just for an overall check before you haul off and run a marathon. We aren’t quite as young as our brain would like to think and this way you aren’t pulling muscles and injuring your body. Set yourself up for success by having attainable goals with your exercise and eating habits.
He mentions joining a running program, so that you have some accountability and people around to motivate you and keep a journal log of your runs.
Great concise write up by Jeff for those of us who weren’t sure we could get back to it, and can!!
